As you've probably heard, Berkley Publishing didn't want any more of my fae romances. Then my editor there left to become an agent. So I'm in synopsis hell sending out new ideas around New York. I'm hoping one of them hits soon. When it does, you'll be the first to know. New SalesAt last! A sale! I sold a short story called LATE BLOOMER to Tekno Books for an anthology by DAW named WITCH HIGH. It's coming out October 2008. AwardsCupid's Melody is a finalist for the PRISM Award in the Fantasy Category. Buttercup Baby won the 2002 Booksellers Best Contest for Best Paranormal. It was also a finalist for CRW's Award of Excellence for Best Paranormal Romance and is also a finalist in the PRISM Contest for Best Light Fantasy. In addition, it was a 2001 P.E.A.R.L. Nominee and a Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence Reviewer's Choice Award Winner. Prince of Charming won CRW's Award of Excellence for Best Paranormal Romance. Prince of Charming was a finalist for the Golden Quill Award, and the National Readers' Choice Award. Somewhere My Love was a finalist for the 1998 Romance Writers of America RITA award in the Paranormal category. Not only that, but it was a finalist in Colorado Romance Writer's Award of Excellence Contest, the Fantasy, Futuristic and Paranormal Chapter's PRISM Award, and the Region 4 Award. Sword of MacLeod was also a finalist for the PRISM Award. Somewhere My Love was a finalist for the Best Science Fiction Romance of 1997 in a survey conducted by the Science Fiction Romance Chapter. Somewhere My Love spent two weeks on Ingram's Top 50 Requested Romances while Sword of MacLeod, Karen's first book, debuted and spent one week on the list.
